About

Why Mobile Inventory

“Mobile Inventory” describes the category, not a product. Several store apps already use the name, and a UK company offers mobile inventory services under it. We wanted a name a shop can remember and a Play listing can own, so the product is Mobile Inventory.

The domain stays

mobileinventory.org remains the descriptive home and the address people type when they are looking for exactly this. The product name sits in front of it: Mobile Inventory, mobile inventory for shops with a stockroom and a shelf.

Owning a domain does not grant trademark rights in a name; the naming work and the domain are separate assets.

What we believe about stock

  • The stockroom is the product. Photos and labels are useful; a count you can trust is the job.
  • One ledger. Every change is an entry, never an overwrite. If a number is wrong, you can see which movement made it wrong.
  • Uncounted is not zero. A blind count that treats “not counted yet” as “none” is how stock disappears on paper.
  • Your data leaves with you. Export works on every plan, including after a trial ends. Deletion removes the account; a shared shop keeps its ledger for the others.
  • Honest pricing. A published renewal price, no per-item charge, no onboarding fee, no sales call to see the price.
  • Phone first, web where it helps. The phone scans and counts offline; the web is for the desk work around it, on the same shop.

What this preview is

The live site is a private preview while the public launch is prepared. The web trial is real: it writes to a real database, and the Android build on the download page signs in to the same shop. The preview is marked noindex and carries a banner so it cannot be mistaken for the final public home.
